Over the next few weeks, we will take time together to uncover exactly who we are in Christ!  God does not want us to live defeated and unproductive lives.  He desires for us to know who we are and then live victoriously!

I am His child which makes me a conqueror!

Do you see yourself as God's child?  Do you truly recognize Him as your loving Father?  No matter your relationship with your natural parents, you have a Father in Heaven who thinks the world of you.  In fact, He is delighted with you!  He thinks you are amazing.  Romans 8:17 (NLT) states and since we are his children, we are his heirs.  In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God's glory.  But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his sufferingWhat an encouraging Word!  You and I are joint heirs with Christ in God's glory!  Hold your head up and know your identity; you are God's child!

The second part of that scripture goes on to tell us that we will also share in His suffering because we are His children.  Sometimes, does it not seem like all we do is share in the suffering?  It can be really tough at times.  We try to do the right thing on our jobs, we try to take care of our family members and serve in our churches, but suffering still occurs.  What is a person to do?

Well, we are to conqueror our suffering and anything else that tries to stand our in way!  Romans 8:37 (NIV) reads no, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.  Your identity in Christ assures that you are more than able to handle the struggles and sufferings of this life!  Will you boldly declare today that you are more than a conqueror?  You should because that is who you are in Christ!  Let Him heal your soul!

Your Sister in Christ,

Prayer:   Heavenly Father, We thank you for this day.  We are so grateful to be your children.  When times get hard, remind us of our identity in Christ Jesus.  In Jesus' Name we pray, Amen.
