Over the next few weeks, we will take time together to uncover exactly who we are in Christ!  God does not want us to live defeated and unproductive lives.  He desires for us to know who we are and then live victoriously!

 I am a doer of God's Word!

Have you ever heard great advice, but then chose not to act upon it?  Perhaps, someone shared with you that 30 minutes of cardio each day would be great for your heart.  You heard the information, even agreed with it, but did not make one single change to your daily routine.  Doesn't that happen to us all of the time?!  Unfortunately, we do the same thing in our spiritual walk.  we attend worship services, hear the preached Word of God, agree with the message, and then never make one single change to our lives. Ouch!

James 1:22 (NIV) says it this way do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves.  Do what it says.  God desires for each of us to be doers of His Word.  That is who we are in Christ.  We were created to do!  Simply hearing His Word and not applying is not enough.  James 1:25 (NLT) goes on to say but if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.

Do not be just a hearer any longer.  Get busy doing what the Lord would have you to do.  It is in the 'doing' that we our reminded of our identity in Him!  Let Him heal your soul!

Prayer:  Father, Help us to hear and also do when you speak.  Teach us not to fear or procrastinate.  We thank you that you created us to be doers.  In Jesus' Name we pray, Amen.
