Over the next few weeks, we will take time together to uncover exactly who we are in Christ!  God does not want us to live defeated and unproductive lives.  He desires for us to know who we are and then live victoriously!

 I am Chosen!

Have you ever been chosen for a job, position, or an honor of some sort?  Maybe you have been chosen by someone for a relationship or friendship.  Isn't it a wonderful feeling to be chosen?  Being chosen makes us feel noticed, important, and/or loved.  However, we can not get caught up on being chosen by people; people will choose us today and reject us tomorrow.

Thankfully, we do not have to worry about that with God.  When God chooses us He does not change His mind!  What a relief! 1 Peter 2:9 says but you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests,[g] a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.   Since you and I are chosen, we should exhibit the goodness of God.  We should let the world see how much of a blessing it is to be God's very own.

As the quote above shares, we are beloved by God.  That is why He chose us because He loves us so much.  Life's circumstances can be so difficult at times that we lose our identity.  We can become so hard on ourselves that we can easily forget that we are indeed chosen by the Most High God.  He chose you and I to be His children and He chose you and I to fulfill a purpose in the earth.  Embrace your chosen identity and accomplish your assignment!  Let Him heal your soul.

Your Sister in Christ,
Prayer:  Heavenly Father, Thank you for choosing us.  Please help each of us to accept that we have been chosen.  Teach us to live on purpose like a chosen people.  In Jesus' Name we pray, Amen.
